New Plug-in to View AirLive IP Cam and NVR

AirLive customers using Chrome and Firefox can now view IP Cam and NVR through IE Tab Plug-in.

In the past, users had to depend on Internet Explorer to view IP Cam or NVR on the web because it has ActiveX, complementary controls for viewing as well as other functions. That causes inconvenience for Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox users.

IE Tab plug-in brings solution to this problem. It allows users of Firefox and Chrome to quickly and conveniently view webpages through IE layout engine. In Chrome, IE Tab simulates the layout in IE. Its default version is IE7, but it can be upgraded to IE8 or IE9. In Firefox, the IE Tab add-on allows you to switch between Firefox and IE simulated page.

If you are interested in  IE Tab, you may download it from the following hyperlinks.

AirLive Intelligent Surveillance Display Shone in 2014 Computex

In 2014Computex, AirLive exhibited up-to-date intelligent surveillance system and comprehensive solution products. As the need for intelligent surveillance has been increasing, live demo of Object Counting caught many people’s attention. There were innumerable inquiries about it. On top of this, as a solution provider, we also showcased APP Cam Series, multifunctional wireless devices, smart PoE Switch and CoreNVR Series. It was our pleasure and honor to usher people to the trend of advanced surveillance solutions in 2014 Computex.

Intelligent Function- Object Counting & Face Detection to Manage Your Business

Object Counting and Face Detection are two of the six intelligent functions in IVS (Intelligent Video System) cameras. The other four are Face Recognition, i-Motion, Trip Zone and e-Fence. Object Counting counts people/vehicles moving in/out an area, so it is helpful in managing the crowd or vehicles. Users may export the counting results for more uses such as merchandising display analysis or business evaluation. In contrast, Face Detection detects faces in a picture and counts the faces. The maximum number will be recorded. It can be used for cashier/counter management or activity success evaluation.

We used MD-3025-IVS to demonstrate Object Counting as well as Face Detection. The live demonstration of Object Counting gave visitors a fresh taste of intelligent surveillance. At the booth, visitors not only viewed the user interface, but also walked to and fro to try it out. As for Face Detection, visitors could see the frames for counting faces on the screen. They were fascinated by the intelligent functions, and many expressed their interest in applying them in projects.

Comprehensive Solution Products for High Quality Surveillance

In addition to intelligent cameras, solution products like APP Cam Series, Airmax5X, Device Guard Switch and CoreNVR Series were among the most-requested items, too. These products are meant for building strong and stable surveillance deployment. The solider the deployment, the better the surveillance performance.

AirLive APP Cameras Series, Innovation out of Tradition

As many others are rushing toward dazzling cloud storage such as Google Drive to store surveillance videos, traditional SD Card local storage seems to be kicked out the stage. However, combining the advantages of SD Card and AirLive’s innovative APP Cam able to perform playback, *writing error detection and download, AirLive gives you a different user experience!

Two years ago, in a project with Egyptian telecommunications, Etisalat, we discussed the possibility of cloud storage. Nevertheless, after considering the pros and cons, we favored SD Card local storage still. SD Card actually provides larger and more stable storage as well as better privacy than cloud storage. Firstly, SD Card can offer much larger space than 5GB, which is usually the capacity of free cloud storage. Thus, you may store more surveillance videos in SD card without extra fees. Even when you do 7/24 recording, local storage performs continual recycling recording. The latest recording will be kept rather than deleted. Besides, local storage is more stable because it is not affected by low internet bandwidth or random disconnection. You may avoid the misfortune of video loss. Lastly, SD Card can be seen as protection of our privacy. Unselective video streaming onto the cloud exposes everything of us to the public. In contrast, choosing suitable video clips in SD Card to share with others will better protect our privacy. These advantages make traditional local storage a safety net for videos and for us.

Taking advantage of these, AirLive steps upwards with innovative APP Cam. With APP Cam, you can play videos back, download them and *be notified of SD Card failure. These functions push SD Card to a more powerful storage device. You can directly reach the video in SD Card anytime, anywhere instead of accessing the server first. Right on your mobile phone or tablet, you can play videos back, and even carry the video files with you by simple download to your devices. What’s better, there will be *writing error detection to monitor the situation of SD Card. Once an error occurs, the APP will alert you to the problem. You may have immediate check to keep the video in its normal streaming. The APP Cam not only performs more functions, but also gives you double protection of the video streaming.

Device Guard Switch, Your Smart Technician

AirLive announces an upgrade on POE-GSH2004L-370 with Device Guard. Device Guard functions as your smart technician, which saves your money and time for a real one. Conventionally, to take a look at the crashed cameras installed in hard-to-reach places or to sort through switch’s IPs for rebooting in a complicated topology, we call out to technicians for help. However, technicians charge you fees every time they come to examine the devices. It also takes time to complete a comprehensive examination. Device Guard thus hits the market as an excellent substitute. It monitors the status of IP cameras and Access Points on a regular basis, and automatically reboots the crashed ones. That greatly reduces your expense and time to have the devices in their working status again. What’s better, for those who have purchased POE-GSH2004L-370, it is free to upgrade the switch with Device Guard function. Cost-effective and time-saving, this virtual technician will be of immense help in your camera installation.
